Fallen Leaves

Fallen leaves, fallen leaves, fallen leaves... on the ground"

To leave behind, all of my ghosts
Searching for something, I couldn't find at home"

Lets unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words"

Hey ya'll! So with Billy Talent and Rise Against inspired lyrics, I've spent the last few days playing in beautiful autumn leaves. So childish.

I saw BT last week with Simmone, IB and peeps. It was awesome, I was going to wear the outfit below, but... there's only so much moshing you can do in platform wedges....

Photobucket
Moi: PVC Jeggings: Topshop, Blazer £0.99 from a catalogue shop?!, Shoes: Moda in Pelle, Dress: Silk Kookai,

*Shout out* to SeeSee who last night, Halloween, managed to greenstick fracture her wrist following a decorating disaster. She's got a freezer-full of Ben and Jerry's so I'm sure she'll be on the mend soo!

I hope each and every one of you have had a beautiful weekend! To start your week, check out Alexandra Jane's new blog.... and wish her get well wishes too! Gosh sickness and injuries are everywhere around here.

Sleep

Photobucket

Bonjourno!

I hope ya'll had a fab weekend. Mine was super busy and filled with lots of girlie catch ups.

I've also spent a long time sleeping IN MY NEW BED! It means alot to me having a bed after two months of sleeping on mattresses and I have to say, I'm super pleased with it...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
I can't get enough of layering textures, all over my bed, the other eve I tried to clamber in but realised I had more cusions than bed.

Photobucket

I got to catch up with my little GodBrothers last week, we had a super fab time jumping on beds and beating each other with pillows...

Photobucket

And while my Momma and SeeSee have been on the South Coast catching up with my Grandmother, I've had two little dust bunnies keeping me busy...

BACK.

Photobucket

*HUGE SQUEAL* Girlies, a massive Bonjour and so many kisses!

Photobucket

So what's been going on since forever?!

The leaves have turned, the air chilled and thank everything good in this world, it's time to indulge in layers and yummy treats.

As you know, I struggle to survive without my vintage finds. I found this INSANE Joseph Ribkoff playsuit. OMG how childish?!

Photobucket

It makes me feel like a sailor!

Photobucket

Photobucket

****

Aswell as play suits, I've been loving the countryside views of nature from my window. Misty mornings have been totally stunning! The soft morning light, the layer of mist, the stench of animal crap. Mmm.....

Photobucket

Shropshire has been super pretty these last few weeks. I'm going to stay around and freeload with my parents for the next few months or so, apply for a few internships, the usual! Indie Boy is working as a geek at some hot labs nearby, I need to google earth it, but I think we now live about 300meters from one another. Convenient!

Photobucket

Hiking in four inches,

Photobucket

Exploring the woodlands,

Photobucket

Photobucket

And certainly lovely soirees at my favourite Bistro ala Barnes!

Photobucket

****

But all those antics have taken place in the few moments I've had free. While I havn't been indulging, good gracious have I been decorating. My new title is Project Manager, I'm totally skilled.

My Daddy P is heading back from Pakistan in the next few days and since he's been gone, Momma and I have been turning his new house around. Everytime we chat to him, we've played down our efforts, but in reality, until last week there had not been a single day that we didn't have contractors and workmen in. The previous owner of this place really had warped ideas about decor....

Photobucket

So over the last six weeks the house has been transformed from an attack on the senses to a sensible calm, warm and welcoming home.

Photobucket

SeeSee and I are still waiting for our beds to be finished. It's taken seven weeks to make two beds and matching furniture and tomorrow when mine arrives, I'm going to do a total Borat "I have a bed, king of the castle, king of the castle, you do this, you do that!"

Photobucket

It's been so much fun though, unpacking and accessorizing, getting our own unique things back out and on display.

Photobucket

And my shoes! Oh my shoes, I can go from wearing Uggs and wifebeaters to my lovely sky highs and pretty dresses. Swoon!

Photobucket

It's a hard life!

Oh! And, I was hoping ya'll might be able to help.... Next month, Mrs Barnes, my fairy godmother, is hosting a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner as a shout out to her brother in New York. But we all could do with some ideas, in that, well, I've never celebrated such a day. What kinda foods and themes do you reccomend?!

Help!

Have an amazing week! I can't wait to catch up with all your blogs! I've missed them so!

All my love

xoxo

Max

Hello my favourite jellybean sweethearts! I hope you've all been loving the change of seasons, whether it's from winter to spring, or summer to autumn, it's always a fab time of year! The leaves are changing, the little squirrels are poking around gathering grub, it's super cute.

Hey, so tell me if you're a Jet lover! Indie Boy took me to see them this week, I had a huge goofy smile throughout. It was like walking down memory lane, those music venues, all grungy and such, were my fix when I was a little punky child in Marc Jacob florals! I loved the music, the people, but... I loved clothes more.

I'm still living out of a suitcase and wish I could do some beautiful outfit posts. We moved last week and it was aweful. The house was filthy, and before I unpack and get in my beautiful furniture, there's lots of decorating needed.

Moving away from silly antics, I want to share an amazing photographer with you... Max Moden's images are blissful, beautiful, dreamy, and romantic.

Photobucket

So soft, like silk and lace, these images are like a dream...

Photobucket

Enjoy the rest of your week, feel the sunshine on your skin....

Photobucket

Cuddle into a warm knit and smile at the changing season....

Photobucket

'Till then, love to live

You are a genius, scenester

Photobucket

Lets take a moment. Stop. Think. Paris. Go. No? London? Okay. Love? Why not.

Now LISTEN.

Photobucket

At the moment, I'm in love with my shoulders. I can't get enough of big silly wannabe Balmains. And my two favourite high street steals at the moment are making me want to jump in a time machine and head back to endless nights of grungy gigs and paper plane memories floating over crowds of polyester.

Photobucket
Jacket: Debenhams, Scarf: Aquascutum, Top: Vintage Silk, Skinnies: Gap, Handbag: Stolen, Shoes: Topshop (with some classic KGs in the bag for the formal stuff).

So, I've had a productive week, and so many long chats with my in house specialists about getting a job. I know my industry, so I looked up the job I want to be in in 10 years time and now I'm going to get my path paved with sweat blood and guts etc. I popped into Knightsbridge with my Daddy P in London to get his visa sorted for Pakistan, it was mayhem.

But, because we were so nearby, we popped to Harods before we headed home. Sure it's September and sure it's a massive cliche, but the Christmas display, yes, ALREADY, got me a hankering for chilly christmas shopping.

We had to buy SeeSee a handbag bag while we were in there, to compensate for stealing her Gucci and her skinnies.

ANYWAY. I just wanted to say, hello to all of you stunners, and just...

Photobucket

Have a beautiful week ya'll

xoxo

And back....

Dolls, I've missed ya'll. It's been a long time for me without this world, and I went cold turkey.

Photobucket

Thank you for all your beautiful comments with regards to me 100th post. StickyKitten sent me the beautiful gift and to be honest, I really really really want to keep it! Her work is stunning, she takes such pride and care in her items, she's a new etsy favourite!

So the STUNNING winner of the delicate necklace is.... HANNAHandSOPHIE of Chronicles of Birds, an utterly wonderful new blog that, now that I'm back in human land, I'm never going to leave!

Photobucket

Today, I want to share this stunning new dress I found. OH MY GOSH! It makes me feel like I'm back in old school HollyWood.

Photobucket

It's been a very long time now, and my momma and DaddyP still haven't moved into their new house which I'm going to be freeloading in for the next while. So I really am down to a few outfits, but I can't wait to get stuck into my beauties once I have a wardrobe.

Photobucket

SO, because of this waiting around, we've missed out on summer in the sun. BUT, Indie Boy's fam are so lovely and while my parents have been packing, I've been away with his fam in rural.
We did ALOT of this....

Photobucket

And some of this....

Photobucket
With all of these.... ***except for Indie Boy's Daddy Doc, who's taking the picture with just his one remaining arm. We went extreme moutain biking and uh, while his mummy and I backed out of the hardcore course, the boys and their Daddy didn't. Indie Boy's Daddy Doc broke his arm as he hit a berm.

Photobucket
To win over the boys, I made lots of these....

Keswick snaps
And took lots of photo's like these....

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
So right now I'm back at home spending time with my fam, my DaddyP is moving to Pakistan to complete a hydro project for a few weeks. It's super exciting because of the scale of the project, but it's mega dangerous where he'll be. So he'll be living with the military in his back yard!
Then it's China! Whoop!!!
Anyway, I hope you have an utterly stunning week ahead!
Lots of love xoxox

100th Post

Hello hello!

*Happy Sunny Dance*

Photobucket

So hello ya'll, today is my 100th post and I would like to thank you LOTS and LOTS for being with me for this long journey.

Now, one of my favourite etsy shops and wonderful blogger, Sticky Kitten is supplying the cutest necklace for a 100th givaway.

All you need to do to enter is leave a comment and the lovely will pop it in the post for you. Ooh!

*****

So I disappeared over the last week. Well, I wish I could tell you I was up to something beautiful and awesome.

BUT....

I was on the South Coast with my fathers fam. Putting up a ceiling and doing all sorts of DIY in our family house.

Photobucket

Seriously. A ceiling. First, it fell down on us. So we had to clear it out. Then, we had to put up a faux board to line it all up. Using WOOD SCREWS, at ANGLES, we yanked it up. Then it came to the heavy ceiling bit. OUCH.

*House behind SeeSee*

The house we were working on is super old.

"I know the house where I was born,
Has foundation walls built upon,
A wayside plot of common land,
Where in the 1780's, Samual Bagg and Henry Barrat,
Two Dorset born farm labourers,
Set out one night to claim the land..."
Extract from Who'd a Thought it by John Snook

Photobucket

It was originally a squatters house, built by two blokes in the 1780s. Then in 1894 it was knocked down and the house as it is today, was built. We call it Fair View.

Photobucket

It's totally haunted too. So SeeSee and I took these photos which looked quite creepy...

Photobucket

It's bizzare because while moving house at the moment with my parents and SeeSee, we've counted that we've lived in over a dozen just during my lifetime.

Photobucket

But FairView has been around 115 years, solid.

Photobucket

*****
Moving on from hauntings, in the last week, I've been spending lots of time with my very old, 85 year old, Grandmother (I have a Granny and a Grandmother!).

Photobucket
It's been really sweet, and I love old people. They're so much fun. I never swapped my sky highs for orthopedic shoes and silks for home knits, but I really enjoyed it!

Photobucket

She lives at the coast, which is sweet. In the same town lives her other son, my uncle Roger, his wife Monica and their Daughter Katie.
We met Katie's new Boyfriend which was fun. SeeSee wanted to fill his food with so much laxatives that he had a full bowl reversal. But she restrained. I'm proud.

Photobucket
My uncle owns a family mens outfitters called TSnook, and over the last few years, he's been getting into selling hats on a big scale!

Photobucket
I can spend hours in the shop with the best advice from all the ladies!

I love the below photo, it looks like something you'd buy for a few pounds from a factory outlet. I might put it onto cavas in the new house...a

Photobucket
I loved this picture of Teddy this morning, I took it for his darling life saver, who we adopted him from... he's a bit of a pot head *da dum*

Photobucket
It's been a fantastic week for bargains and vintage finds! A gaggle of us girlies headed out to rural towns with our City Style caps on, looking slightly high fashion amoungst the wellies and tweed!

Catching Crabs

Hello girlies, so this is my 98th post and I'm feeling for the 100th I'm going to need a luurvly givaway....

I'll get back to you on that!

Photobucket
Cardi: Miss Selfridge, Dress: Topshop, Scarf: Aquascutum

It's been a super busy week filled with shopping and packing and all sorts, but I've found time for cute outfits and I'm loving my momma's new blue quilts.

Photobucket
Jacket: The old faithful Zara number, Jeans: Topshop, Top: Next

Photobucket

A few posts ago, Claire from The View From Here, came up with an awesome guide to photo's for 'what I wore' esq posts.

Her explanation were fab: "For reducing the size of one's bottom half in photos, try to take the photo from higher up, than from below.Reason why this works - if something is closer, it is larger. Similarly, further away means it looks smaller. Since we can't separate our bodies (and wouldn't want to!), one trick of the eye is to have the camera higher, so that the top half is slightly closer to the camera and the bottom half is slightly further away. Obviously, too much can make the effect just look weird. See diagram below."

***

Yesterday Indie Boy kidnapped me with his fam for sunny seaside antics....
Photobucket

There were lots of ugly little creatures out there!

Photobucket

The above crab is so scarey looking!

Photobucket

Photobucket

The below photograph makes me chuckle because it's just so silly!

Photobucket

Photobucket

And last weekend I headed up a mountain to checck out the highest waterfall in England, it was very pretty!

Photobucket

A huge thank you for your lovely comments! Tell me what you're up to this week?! And please please please wish me luck for a job interview this week! If I can find an outfit which doesn't involve wifebeaters and moving clothes, and instead white shirts and stunning monochromes, I'll let you know!

Have an awesome week

You vintage magpie you...

How hard is it to say no to a darling elderly lady volunteering in a thrift shop? Well, it's pretty hard, becuase I found the sweetest little old lady who found me some wonderful gems....

My favourite vintage steal this week...

Photobucket

.... A £3.50 silk gown. How do you say no to that?!

Photobucket

Listen to this old Garbage song, and scroll through these jackets. I still want the Balmain with the huge shoulders though...

With the chilly weather recently, I've swapped my carigans for blazers, I'm feeling the need for a sequined trophy jacket... any suggestions?

Photobucket

The above tweed one is a staple for visiting my family in rural. Team it with skinnies, leather boots, a silk wife beather and you're a total farmer girl.

Photobucket

My prom dress three years ago was the same rich midnight blue, I love the colour for summery night gatherings!

Photobucket

Oh my gosh, I'm loving the Paul and Joe Sister vests that are free with Elle this month. I need to get a few more copies! They go perfectly with all my silly jackets!

Photobucket

I have a neighbours funeral this wednesday, so I'm feeling the below outfit with the above shoes. Except without the dorky smile!

Photobucket

Also, how exciting is Coco before Chanel going to be?! Ooh! Have an awesome week! Tomorrow night I've got a GNI (Girls Night In) with a few gems and then a date with Indie Boy in Birmingham.

Anyways... love love love to ya'll xoxo
